Planning your Wedding Day?


Planning your wedding for 2027 or 2028 might feel early — but when it comes to booking your photographer, timing matters more than most couples realise.

In South Yorkshire, popular wedding dates (especially spring and summer weekends) are often booked 12–24 months in advance. If photography is important to you, it’s one of the first suppliers you should secure.

How far in advance should I book?


For weddings in Sheffield, Barnsley and across South Yorkshire:


  • Peak dates (May–September): 18–24 months ahead
  • Off-peak weddings: 9–15 months ahead


Many couples now book as soon as they secure their venue — especially for 2027 weddings.

Why do photographers get booked up early?


Unlike venues, photographers can only shoot one wedding per day.

That means once your date is gone, it’s gone.


If you’ve found a style you love (natural, relaxed, candid), it’s worth enquiring early to avoid disappointment.
