The Process & What to Expect!

Here is my Booking Process:
Booking your wedding photography is super simple. Here’s what happens next…
01 — Get in touch
Drop me an email or WhatsApp (07885817432) with your wedding date and a few details about your plans. We’ll chat through the packages and work out which feels right for you.
02 — Let’s have a chat
We can arrange a relaxed Zoom call to get to know each other, talk all things wedding and make sure we’re the right fit — after all, you’ll be spending quite a bit of your day with me!
03 — Secure your date
Ready to book? A £250 booking fee secures your wedding date. I’ll also send over your contract electronically to read and sign.
04 — You’re booked!
Once your booking fee and signed contract are received, it’s official! Your date is safely in my diary.
05 — The final details
You’re always welcome to get in touch with questions along the way. A few weeks before your wedding, we’ll catch up to finalise timings, must-have photos and all those important little details. Your remaining package balance will also be due at this stage.
And then? You get married. I capture it. You have the BEST day. 🤍
General FAQs
Do you travel for shoots, and is there a travel fee?
Yes I absolutely travel, anywhere around the UK for Weddings and for other shoots anywhere within South or West Yorkshire. There is only a travel fee if the venue is over 1.5 hours away from my location in S36.
How far in advance should I book you?
For Weddings I try my best for any 'last minute' bookings, within the same year. However, usually this is a year or two years in advance to ensure I am available for your date.
Wedding FAQs
How many pictures will we receive, and how are they delivered?
This depends on the package you select. Typically for a Wedding this can vary from 500-800 digital photos.
However, for a family photoshoot this can be between 15-50.
These are delivered via my online Gallery which is Password protected, you can share and download them from any device.
Do you work with a second shooter?
Yes, in this industry you come across a few photographers and I have a couple that I work with and are able to second shoot. There is an additional cost to add this to a Wedding Package £350.
How long does it take to get our wedding gallery?
I usually say for a Short N Sweet this can be 1-2 weeks, for the Classic and Ultimate this can be between 2-4 weeks. However, this does vary in summer months as this is my busiest time of year. I will always be open and honest if i feel it will take me longer to turn around the full Gallery.
Don't worry, you will get some Sneak Peaks after your big day to look back on!
The Process for Weddings:
Step 1: Check Out My Work
We need to be compatible, my style has got to suit what you are looking for in a photographer. Take a look at my portfolio here and on my Facebook or Instagram, this will give you a good idea of my style and what I'm about. Then check out my packages, see which would work best for the coverage you are after - or what session you want to book for.
Step 2: Get In Touch
If you like what you see and you think we would be a match - amazing - reach out via my contact page or email me at meganmarshallphotography@gmail.com.
Try to give me as much detail as possible:
- If its about a Wedding package: Include the Wedding date - so I can confirm my availability.
- For other shoots in my studio: Let me know if you have a specific date in mind and what session you are looking to book.
Step 3: Secure
To book in with me I typically ask for £250 for Weddings and between £50-100 in total for other shoots.
I will make sure you have a copy of the Invoice and Contract via email - this can be digitally signed.
Step 4: Lets Plan
Once you are booked in you can message me anytime on WhatsApp - my phone is always on! - that way we can easily stay in touch.
For Weddings we will arrange a meet up closer to the time, this could be at a local coffee place near you or at the venue itself - that way we can talk all things Wedding!
For other shoots in the studio, I will message a week or so before to double check the date still works for you (Newborns come at their own time!)

Do you require a deposit?
Yes! I require a non-refundable booking fee of £250 of the cost for Weddings and between £50-£100 deposit for any other photoshoot.
What if you are unable to make it on the day?
This is a photographers nightmare! However, I am lucky enough to have a lot of photographer colleagues who I work with a lot, meaning I will have someone as a back up, who has been in the industry a long time!
